Twila Liggett
Twila Liggett, PhD, was Creator & Executive Producer for 25 yrs on the Reading Rainbow series on PBS. Under her leadership the series won over 160 awards including a Peabody and 26 national Emmy awards; ten in the outstanding Children’s Series category.
Reading Rainbow, which aired on PBS 1983-2009, is now streaming on Netflix. Dr. Liggett just retired as Professor of Education specializing in literacy and the arts (2006-2013) at Marymount Manhattan College.
